Aug 02, 2016 – New York: Scientific Publishers, a leading publisher of books and periodicals in the field of science and technology, signed up with Impelsys, a global leader in publishing and learning technology solutions, to build a branded portal for the distribution of their eBooks and journals. The portal will be built on Impelsys’ powerful SaaS based content delivery platform, iPublishCentral Ebooks (Now mon’k eBook).
Established in 1976, Scientific Publishers has a vast heritage of academia and research. Their range of content includes popular scientific textbooks, reference books, monographs, conference proceedings, and series. They are one of the prominent publishers specializing in educational content in the fields of agricultural and biological sciences, life sciences, and engineering.
Portal implementation will be carried out in two phases. The first phase will cover the portal setup for eBook delivery, UI/ UX customization, and hosting of content. The robust portal will support different business models, allowing Scientific Publishers to define individual access to public and institutional access for libraries as a subscription model. Moreover, the iPublishCentral Reader (Now mon’k) app will enable online and offline access to content across all devices.
